Davide Tidoni e il canto No-TAV

CLASSE

CLASSE is a project of transmission, compromise, blending and mixing, invented pedagogies and radical imagination that combines a public programme with the creation of an ongoing working group, moving through the Short Theatre 2025’s programme and beyond.

Every day for 10 days, artists, poets, activists, philosophers and researchers are invited to give a short talk starting from a specific word / issue / practice.

Davide Tidoni is an interdisciplinary artist and independent researcher. In his artistic research and experimentation, he pays special attention to the spatial, material and relational dimension of sound, addressing issues such as the interaction with the acoustic space, interdependence and impermanence. He also researches sound practices and singing in social and political contexts. He published The Sound of Normalisation (2018), a work on the songs of the ultras group Brescia 1911; Where Do You Draw the Line Between Art and Politics (2021), a series of interviews with people active at the intersection of art and politics; and The Best of NO TAV (2024), a songbook with musical interpretations and contextual notes on the No TAV movement. In 2025, Tidoni co-edited the publication I Cessi di Mirafiori, which collects the photos of protest graffiti and drawings by Pietro Perotti – a worker at the Fiat Mirafiori in Turin – in the factory’s toilets.
