Whether they are shivering with hot or cold, whether they are feeling pleasure or living a nightmare, tonight we want energised, tingling bodies. We want a single extended palpitation that touches and unites us all. Fanfulla 5/a curates an evening that promises to touch all frequencies, all nuances: from the electronic devices and mechanical sounds of the live improvisational Swiss duo Semoroz / Souharce, to Marietta’s slightly adolescent, melancholic guitars and synths, finally slowing down in order to arrive at the soft sounds of PierPanico as well as the bizarre selections of Italo-French GLM & Bob Junior.

Semoroz / Souharce | 10:45 pm – 1:00 am | live
Julie Semoroz and Emma Souharce have been collaborating since 2018 with the duo Effraction Vacances, an improvised live play format based on mainstream pop music from the 1990/2000 – different each time – setting it up as a decomposed sculpture. For this new form, Semoroz and Souharce are focusing on the possibilities of nested different timings in live, playing on large dynamic ranges inspired by both Instagram culture and noise music.

In 20 or 30 years, we’ll talk about Guillaume Marietta the same way we talk about Arthur Russell or Robert Johnson today – people ignored by their contemporaries and rediscovered later in prestigious anthologies or picaresque documentaries. Future being rather incertain these days, it would maybe be better if you didn’t lose any time and enjoy Marietta right away. Sure, it won’t be easy to map Marietta’s journey – one of the key players of the GrandeTriple Alliance De l’Est, an anarchic scene which exploded between Metz and Strasbourg in the early 2000s, fronting bands such as A.H. Kraken, Plastobéton and The Feeling Of Love.
