The RESIDENZE project reflects the festival’s desire to create as much space as possible despite economic limitations and architectural boundaries of the central venue of Short Theatre, La Pelanda.

For this reason, Short Theatre 2025 decided to dedicate part of the network relationships and institutional exchanges it generates to hospitality, turning the spaces offered to us or that we requested to use into spaces for research and creation. The festival seeks to set out on a journey that will take it beyond its programme of performances, allowing other groups and artists outside its calendar to inhabit its spaces. 

Giulia Scotti, Fabritia D’Intino and Marta Olivieri will be hosted for a research period, not linked to production, in the halls of Teatro India, in collaboration with Teatro di Roma – Teatro Nazionale. 

The spaces of Teatro India will come to life thanks to the collaboration with Da.Re. Dance Research and the Playground for New Voices project. Thanks to the former, Short Theatre 2025 will host the residency of Manuela Cirfera, Enrico Frisoni, Alba Nannini and Leo Schifino with Davide Uccellari and Filippo Lilli, whereas the latter will allow Frani Dibiase and Roberto Leandro Pau to continue their research, opening it up to the public during a dedicated event. 

ATCL Circuito Multidisciplinare del Lazio will host Alexia Sarantopoulou for a week-long residency in its Spazio Rossellini with the collaboration of Bluemotion.

Thanks to Orbita Spellbound Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza, the Teatro Biblioteca Quarticciolo will welcome the research of Miranda Secondari (who will also meet the public) and Silvia Rampelli.
