Amigdala is a techno, electronic music and independent culture project. It was born in May of 2006 in the spaces of the Kollatino Underground, Amigdala has produced events as well as promoted and participated at Italian and International Festivals in Rome, Milan, Paris, Bologna and Terni. In Rome, it has carried out its work at the Rialtosantambrogio, the Locanda Atlantide, the Rising Love, the Animal Social Club, the Goa Club, the Ex Dogana di Roma, Scalo Est, the Rashomon Club. In recent years, it has hosted some of the most important artists and Djs of the electronic, house and techno scene in Italy and the world. Among these, to name a few, are: Ellen Allien, Miss Kittin, Peaches, Etienne de Crecy, Alex Gopher, Rex The Dog, Fred Falke, Wolfgang Flur (ex Kraftwerk), Frenz & Shape, Kap Bambino. Live concerts, art exhibitions, theatre, visual and video art: Amigdala is this and more.
CHRISTEENE è l’alter-ego del performer americano Paul Soileau.
La musica e i live di CHRISTEENE hanno coinvolto un pubblico di una varietà inedita comprendendo uomini sposati, lesbiche, queer, donne single, bear, fatine, accademici, motociclisti, pastori, e medici. CHRISTEENE si esibisce in giro per gli Stati Uniti e l’Europa ed è stata supporter dei Faith No More e di Peaches nei loro tour mondiali del 2015. La accompagna una collezione altamente curata di video musicali realizzati attraverso la longeva collaborazione col filmmaker PJ Raval, vincitore di diversi premi. I video del duo sono stati proiettati in festival come: South by Southwest, NYC Rooftop Films, Paris Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Homo-a-go-go…solo per citarne alcuni. CHRISTEENE è, in parole sue, una terrorista drag, un sex toy senza paura. CHRISTEENE inietta genderfluid hiphop, trash e perverse punk con rozza intimità . I suoi live contano due valletti, bizzarri e disarmanti monologhi, abiti da spazzatura e accese discussioni sul corrente stato del mondo.
