The Feel Good Cooperative, an artistic collective that brings together a group of Colombian trans sex workers and their allies, grew out of a collaboration by artist Pauline Curnier Jardin, photographer and sex worker Alexandra Lopez alongside architect and researcher Serena Olcuire, and is presenting the documentary film Fireflies, by Pauline Curnier Jardin. Made in 2020, during the first pandemic period and set in the peripheral areas of Rome, the video talks about the Feel Good Cooperative group of artists and sex workers in those places where the city merges with the countryside: an investigation and a meditation on both desire and border areas. The screening is accompanied by a talk with the artists and protagonists of the film.
The screening and the talk at the Teatro India, fruit of the collaboration between If Body and Short Theatre 2023, anticipate a performance that will take place on October 12 around public spaces of the EUR district, in relation with the architectures and representations of the Fascist era, in order to denounce the dynamics of invisibilisation and the marginalisation of many, perpetrated in public spaces.
Anticipation of the Night is the discursive space that lights up every day in the late afternoon. For the full programme click here.
