La Diferencia is an Italian-Peruvian duo based in Rome that explores new electronic music from the other hemisphere. Their research path gravitates around the productions of non-Western or post-immigrant artists and independent labels linked to them. A representation of the global South and its infinite languages. La Diferencia curates radio selections for Battiti and Radio Raheem, DJ sets for Merende, Short Theatre, Trenta Formiche and Fanfulla 5/a,
Also active as curators, they have managed to bring to Rome live and DJ sets representative of their concept, such as that of Orieta Chrem and Selvagia or Rs Produções (Principe Records). All this culminated in a day festival called Latam Futuro and dedicated to ‘Latin futurism’ with two different editions: the first, at 30 Formiche, hosted live performances by Lila Tirando, Violeta, Montoya and Mamacoca’s dj set, while the second event featured Mala Fama and Condoii.
