SALON is an outdoor space for relaxation, listening, unwinding and meeting, which will be haphazardly set up every day in the open area of the festival.
SALON is mainly curated by the bodies that inhabit it, and it will host a different musical programme every night, courtesy of artists and other individuals who agreed to publicly reveal their secret musical obsessions.
Biagio Caravano is a musician, dancer and performer, and teaches dance theatre at the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi in Milan. He is among the founders of mk, a collective that has been active for years on the national and international scene of contemporary dance, choreography and performance.
Alongside touring, he maintains an intensive workshop practice, including projects developed specifically for the Scuola Paolo Grassi in Milan and the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome.
With the musician Daniela Cattivelli he formed the duo Sigourney Weaver, through which he pursues a sonic research grounded in the posture of the body on stage. For mk he devised the format Bangalore, in which he appears alongside a different set of artists each time — performers, dancers, musicians, actors and visual artists. He composed the music, played live, for the pieces Sfera #uno stato eternamente nascente and Panoramic Banana, and for the performance Piscina Mirabilis, presented in the most recent season of Triennale Milano Teatro.
