A movement towards that which makes no sense and yet is everywhere. Conceived for Nicole, and for her obstinate faith in invisible continuities, the work moves through verses by Anne Carson, figures from the biblical tradition, and female genealogies capable of inhabiting distance. It turns towards that which never fully appears and yet continues to manifest itself in the cracks, in moments of waiting, and in inexplicable instants.
Giorgina Pi is an Italian artist, theatre director, filmmaker, playwright, set designer and researcher. She lives between Rome, Athens and Paris. She is the founder of the company Bluemotion and the artistic director of Angelo Mai, an independent space in Rome dedicated to production and research in the contemporary performing arts. Her work moves across theatre, film and writing, weaving together Greek myth, contemporary poetry and transfeminist thought. In her projects, the stage becomes a research device where body, memory and history meet, generating hybrid forms that combine text, sound environments, images and performance. She is the creator of Radicante, a transfeminist school of the arts.
Bluemotion is an artistic company born within the experience of Angelo Mai. It brings together artists from different disciplines — theatre, cinema, music, visual arts and writing — who collaborate on shared projects as well as individual creations. The company’s work creates immersive environments in which different languages intertwine and contaminate one another, bringing myth, contemporary writing and political imagination into dialogue.
Nicole De Leo is an artist, actress, activist and one of the founders of MIT (Movimento Identità Trans). For many years she has worked across theatre, cinema and artistic practices that explore identity, desire and transformation. Since 2023, she has been a member of Bluemotion.
