CLASSE is a project of transmission, compromise, blending and mixing, invented pedagogies and radical imagination. CLASSE is a space for words and thoughts that combines a public programme with the creation of an ongoing working group, moving through the Short Theatre 2026’s programme and beyond.
Every day for 10 days, artists, poets, activists, philosophers and researchers are invited to give a short talk starting from a specific word / issue / practice. Discover all the other appointments that constitute the public programme of CLASSE.
Notes on Spitting is a series of four texts dedicated to the relationship between dance and choreography, between sex and pornography, and to the corrosive power of dance. Moving through theory and fiction, Daniel Blanga Gubbay proposes a CLASSE that alternates lecture and reading and proceeds like an act of cruising, encountering recent performances and references to Fassbinder, Lonzi and Anne Carson, to explore dance as a gesture that escapes capture and the sayable.

Daniel Blanga Gubbay is a curator in the performing arts and a writer. Between 2018 and 2026 he was part of the artistic direction of the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels. He has worked as an independent curator of performance and public programmes, including the São Paulo Biennial (2025), Yogurt and Other Spaces of Labour (Ashkal Alwan, Beirut, 2021, in collaboration with Zeynep Öz) and Can Nature Revolt? (Manifesta, Palermo, 2018). He holds a doctorate from the University of Palermo; he is among the founders of Celador, a space of experimentation with language in Brussels, and is a member of the artistic committee of the Beirut Art Center. He recently curated the exhibition Etel Adnan e Giorgio Morandi at MAMbo – Bologna. He teaches regularly, including the weekly course Contemporary Salmon at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. He writes across different contexts, publishing at times as Dani — a personal, nocturnal name — in the queer tradition of the signature as voice rather than identity. His most recent writing has appeared in Mizna, BUTT and Mousse Magazine.
