SALON is an outdoor space for relaxation, listening, unwinding and meeting, which will be haphazardly set up every day in the open area of the festival.
SALON is mainly curated by the bodies that inhabit it, and it will host a different musical programme every night, courtesy of artists and other individuals who agreed to publicly reveal their secret musical obsessions.
Vanasay Khamphommala (ວັນນະໄຊ ຄຳພົມມາລາ) is a French-Laotian performance artist and director of Lapsus chevelü. Her work moves between theatre, music and performance art, engaging European heritage from its margins. She is an artist-in-residence at Villa Medici (2026–2027) and has presented her work at Festival d’Avignon (2018, 2026) as well as in major institutions across France and Europe.
Vanasay Khamphommala is also present at Short Theatre 2026 with the performance Je te chante une chanson toute nue en échange d’un verre (Ti canto una canzone tutta nuda in cambio di un bicchiere), at the Orto Botanico on September 3.
